DRESS CODE

At PSPA, we provide dress codes so the students and teachers can focus on form and performance, rather than be distracted by clothing. Please see below for dress code for the different classes and levels. Dress code is listed by age.

Please bring these items to class along with your dance gear! Make sure to label every thing with your name and try to limit your items to one small dance bag.

CREATIVE-LEVEL BALLET (AGES 4-5)

Girls:
Pink leotard and pink convertible tights. Pink skirts and sweaters are optional.
Pink canvas or leather split-sole ballet slippers
Hair neatly pulled back off the face in a ballet bun. If hair is too short, can put up in a ponytail.

Boys:
White, fitted tee or tank with black pants or shorts
Black split-sole ballet shoes

BALLET LEVEL 1 CLASSES ( Ages 6+)

Girls:

Black or pink leotard, pink convertible tights, pink canvas split-sole ballet shoes

Hair neatly pulled back off the face in a ballet bun

Boys:

White, fitted tee or tank and black pants

Black split-sole ballet shoes

CREATIVE BROADWAY BABIES (AGES 4-5) AND BROADWAY STARS AGES (6-7) CLASSES

Girls:

Pink canvas or leather split-sole ballet shoes. Black or tan tap shoes with velcro required. (No laces)
Hair neatly pulled back off the face in a ballet bun. If hair is too short, can put up in a ponytail.

Boys:

Black split-sole ballet shoes and black or tan tap shoes with velcro. (No laces)

BALLET LEVELS 2-5 CLASSES ( Ages 8+)

Girls:

Warm-ups/skirts are optional

*Girls in Ballet 4/5 should bring pointe shoes

Boys:
White, fitted tee or tank and black pants
Black split-sole canvas ballet shoes

PRE-POINTE/POINTE LEVEL 3 CLASSES

Girls:

Ballet dress code. Skirts are permitted at the teacher's discretion.
Pink canvas split-sole ballet shoes and/or pointe shoes if teacher approved

SHOES: (Girls) Black jazz shoe or bootie. Ballet shoes ok. (Teen Girls) Tan or black flexible character shoe 1.25 inch heel (Advanced Girls) Tan or black character shoe 2 inch + heel (Boys) Soft jazz shoe or jazz sneaker
