DANCER PROTOCOLS

Parent/Dancer must sign waiver AND covid-19 waiver for all in-person training

Parents take the temperature of dancer at home BEFORE coming to PSPA/SIMBT

Dancer wears face masks at drop-off, in class, all common areas of the studio, and pick-up

Studio bathrooms are LIMITED to emergency use only. Dancers are encouraged to use the bathroom at home

Dancer that is ill (fever, etc) MUST stay home

UPON ENTERING PSPA/SIMBT

Dancer must wear face mask and have their temperature checked BEFORE entering the building. If the temperature is over 100.4 F, the dancer MUST go home

For a typical adult, normal body temperature can be anywhere between 97F to 99F. Children's normal temperature is a high range from 97.9F to 100.4F. A temperature above 100.4F is considered a fever.

Lobby is CLOSED. Only staff, teachers, students are permitted inside the studio. Doors will be locked during classes until dismissal. Classes will be dismissed at staggered times.

Virtual front desk and office hours via zoom to answer any questions

Drop off outside the door (red brick ramp), please stay 6ft apart. Parents must park in the back parking lot and walk dancer to door to wait for temperature check

Dancers will be met at the front door by PSPA/SIMBT staff and provided hand sanitizer before they enter the studio

Dancers dropped off before class begins CANNOT enter the building early. They must wait outside or in the car

Dancers are we arrive completely ready in dance attire as the dressing rooms and bathrooms will be closed
DURING CLASSES
- Class size limited to state mandates
- Studio floors will be marked in 6 foot distances
- Air conditioning to keep air circulation with HEPA filters and fans circulating air out windows
- All studios will have an air purifier
- All dancers must stay in assigned spots
- No bare-feet. Dancers must wear shoes/slippers/dance socks.
- No touching allowed at any time for dancers, faculty, and staff
- Dancers are to use hand sanitizer at entry, in all studios, in the lobby, and bathrooms (if used)
- Staggered entry/exit to maintenance the appropriate number of dancers in hallways
- Dancers bring labeled water bottle and keep water in their dance bag
- Dancer temperature checks occur every 4 hours
- No cubbies. 1 small dance bag allowed, dancer must keep their bag with them
- Only dance shoes, small warm ups, hand sanitizer, and water inside bags
- Summer procedure: Dancers must come wearing dance clothes, no extra cloths or changing. Extra shoes must be able to be stored in dance bags
- Fall/Spring: Outside shoes, coats, backpacks, and clothes can be stored in personal laundry basket (portable/foldable). When possible, please leave extra clothing in the car. Only bring in shoes, water, hand sanitizer, etc.


AFTER CLASSES
- Use provided hand sanitizer when exiting the studio and follow directions
- Dancer picked up within 5-10 minutes max after the end of classes. PSPA/SIMBT staff will walk dancers to back staircase (by pond/outside bathroom) to the back parking lot. Parent must wait in the back parking lot, by pond sidewalk, or stay in the car
- Studio A is released through lobby to back staircase for dismissal to back parking lot area
- Studio B (Pillar Room) is released through kitchen to studio C hallway to back staircase for dismissal to back parking lot area
- Studio C (Tap Studio) is released directly to staircase for dismissal to back parking lot area
- Please wash all dance attire and belongings at home after class
PSPA/SIMBT FACULTY & STAFF PROTOCOLS
- Temperature checks before entering the building
- Wash hands before, during, and after every class
- Trained of safety and cleaning procedures
- Staff and teachers must sign the same COVID-19/Studio waivers as all members
- Disinfect floors, ballet barres, light switches, doorknobs, and all touched surfaces in-between and after each class
- All staff and teachers must wear a shield or face mask at all times
- No props will be used
- Encouragement, corrections, etc will always be contactless
- Deep cleaning procedures each night
